Make an enquiry

A few questions about who is borrowing and what for. You will get an answer on the same screen, before you give us any contact details, on whether this is something we are able to help with at all.

First, who is borrowing

What happens to what you enter

The first questions decide whether assisting with your borrowing would be a regulated activity. If it would be, we say so on the spot and we do not ask for your name or contact details at all — so there is nothing for us to keep, and nothing is recorded.

Where we can help, we keep what you send us so we can reply to it. This is not a credit application. No search is carried out against you or the business, and nothing here is an offer of finance or an indication that any lender will make one.

Why we ask how many partners you have

It looks like an odd question and it is the single most decisive one on the form. Consumer credit rules catch a partnership of two or three partners where not all of them are limited companies. A partnership of four or more falls outside that definition entirely. Two otherwise identical firms borrowing the same £20,000 get different answers, and the only difference is the number of partners.

Where we are paid

The calculators on this site are free and always will be. Where we introduce you to a lender or a broker who can place your case, we may be paid a commission by them. We will tell you in writing that it exists, what it is, and how much, before any introduction is made — not afterwards.

If we cannot help

A refusal on this form is not a comment on your business. It means the borrowing you have described is a regulated credit agreement and we are not authorised to assist with one, including by preparing the application. An FCA-authorised commercial finance broker can. The calculators here remain free to use either way.
